1528.77-1607.47 nm; Output Power 10, 13 dBm; Fiber Connector FC/APC; Tuning Resolution 50 GHz; Spectral Linewidth <5 MHz; Tuning Speed 20 ms
General Photonics’ TLS-101 is a compact tunable laser source for daily test and measurement applications. A C-band and an L-band version are available. Each version can be step-tuned with a resolution of 50 GHz in less than 20 ms. An internal wavelength locker assures that the wavelength of the output light is exactly on the ITU grid of the DWDM channels.
The light source has three operation modes:
- The fixed wavelength output mode allows the user to select a static wavelength
- The single-trip wavelength mode scans a user-set range with selectable parameters
- The round-trip mode does a bi-directional scan
The TLS-101 tunable laser can be controlled from the front panel or from any of the standard digital control ports: USB, RS-232, Ethernet, or GPIP. The TLS-101 is an ideal source for WDM component testing, sensor interrogation, optical coherence tomography (OCT), PMD and PDL characterization, and for use in general purpose test and measurement applications.
