The 2.4 cc BLDC motor driven mini rotary compressor available from stock is suitable for low and high evaporation temperatures. With the R134 a version, cooling capacities of 110 W at -25°C and 850 W at +20°C can be achieved, while the R600a version allows 120 W at -15°C and 440 W at +15°C. Thanks to the mini rotary compressors’ twin pump design, noise level is less than 42 dBA and vibration levels are low such that generous piping is sufficient for the compressor to be decoupled from the chassis.
Two versions of AMS Technologies’ 2.4 cc mini rotary compressor are available from stock, suitable for supply voltages of either 24 VDC or 220 VAC. Both inverters drive the compressor speed from as low as 20 rps up to 100 rps – this controllability provides huge advantages compared to simple ON/OFF operation and is particularly important in applications that cover a wide range of cooling capacity and temperature conditions. With its compact dimensions, our 2.4 cc compressor fits inside an envelope of approx. 80 x 100 x 165 mm in height. Heel angles of up to 30° make this compressor suitable for mobile applications.
The slightly larger 7.3 cc mini rotary compressor is an ideal solution for industrial or transportation applications that require a powerful compressor driven from 24 VDC. This compressor model is suitable for low and high evaporation temperatures with cooling capacities reaching 800 W at -10°C/+45°C and 1900 W at +10°C/+45°C. Its speed can be controlled from 30 to 100 rps, allowing for a wide range of operating conditions. Its single-piston design requires careful piping design to reduce vibrations.
For quick set-up, test and evaluation of our mini rotary compressors, we provide a dedicated test function board that outputs a signal of variable frequency, allowing to control the compressor’s speed with a potentiometer.

Our plate evaporators for direct mounting of heat sources like laser diodes, finned tube evaporators for air conditioning and brazed plate heat exchangers for liquid cooling, all in compact sizes and tailored to heat transfer, pressure drop and refrigerant requirements, give vast possibilities to design small and efficient cooling units based on vapor compression.
Our AMS Technologies OEM controller board is capable of controlling the compressor, fans, pumps, eventually valves for refrigerant or water regulation and heaters for various applications. It communicates via RS232/485.
