eagleyard Photonics’ RWL series of Fabry-Perot ridge waveguide laser (RWL) diodes operate on a single transverse resonator mode. This leads to high power output (50 up to 800 mW in cw mode) with diffraction limited beam profile. The output beam can contain multiple frequencies depending on the resonator length. The frequency performance can be stabilized by temperature control (thermoelectric cooling).

Additional features such as collimation optics for optimum beam quality or a thermoelectric cooling module for more stable frequency performance can be integrated in the package on request. Direct temperature control of the chip enables optimum wavelength stability and better heat dissipation under continuous high-power operation.
