Operating in the nanosecond pulse duration regime, SPI Lasers’ redENERGY® G4 series of pulsed fiber lasers use GTWave and PulseTune technologies and are widely used in a diverse array of applications, offering users unrivalled versatility and flexibility.
The redENERGY® G4 series has been designed with specific attention to enhance the ease of OEM integration, enabling easy adoption of the full product features and range. redENERGY® G4 lasers are designed to benefit high-volume manufacturing, where it yields unprecedented reliability and consistency. All redENERGY® G4 lasers are maintenance free, utilizing ‘Fit & Forget’ technology, allowing you to focus on output, rather than time consuming maintenance schedules.
With enhanced features for micro-machining, the series’ PulseTune technology offers highly flexible control over pulse width and peak power, enabling market-leading repetition rates whilst maintaining peak power. Key differentiator of the redENERGY® G4 pulsed lasers is the versatility of up to 40 selectable waveforms, enabling the user to optimize key pulse characteristics to individual applications, thus resulting in enhanced process quality and productivity.
For applications requiring continuous, reliable laser power, please refer to SPI Lasers’ redPOWER® QUBE series of high-power CW fiber lasers with continuous output powers of 100 W to 10 kW, also available as dedicated OEM versions.
Within the redENERGY® G4 series, three different sub-series are available:
- RM Series (Reduced Mode): Entry level products with limited pulse options; Basic software and hardware interfaces; Models can benefit from 2 PulseTune waveforms and have limited pulse repetition frequency of up to 500 kHz.
- HS Series (High Spec): Benefits from PulseTune technology; Pulse width variable (25 pre-set waveforms); Enhanced control and modulated CW functionality; Up to 1 MHz pulse repetition frequency.
- EP Series (Extended Performance): Up to 40 optimised PulseTune waveforms; Most versatile Fiber Laser source; Enhanced control and modulated CW functionality; Increased pulse energy and peak power performance; Pulse width range of 3 to 2,000 ns; Up to 4 MHz pulse repetition frequency.
SPI Lasers’ redENERGY® G4 pulsed fiber lasers are available with various beam quality options:
- S Type (Single Mode M2<1.3): Generating very fine spot size <20 µm with high power stability and large depth of focus. Ideally suited to applications requiring small feature sizes.
- Z Type (M2<1.6): Offering higher peak power and pulse energy with only minor increase in spot size with good depth of focus.
- L Type (Low Mode M2 1.6-2.0): General marking applications giving slightly larger spots and features that are more appropriate to making marks visible to the naked eye.
- H Type (High Mode M2 2.5-3.5): Offering high pulse energies, and peak powers and even larger spots ideal for wide lines, filled font type applications and large area coverage.
- M Type (Multi Mode M2 4.0-6.0): Highest pulse energies and longer pulse durations ideal for welding and cleaning.
