NorthLab’s ProCoater is an ultra-compact fiber recoater designed to cover a wide range of fiber diameters and coating materials, from standard to low & high index compounds. The ProCoater system is specifically designed for ease of use and flexibility in mind, making it ideal for production as well as research & development applications.
The unique square-shaped hard moulds are available in four standard sizes of 250, 400, 600 and 900 μm. The moulds can easily be changed by the operator in a few minutes. To ensure fast cycle time and long life, the ProCoater uses an array of high-power and wavelength-adapted UV LEDs generating a typical curing time of less than 3 seconds. The ProCoater can be programmed with four different recoating programs, easily selectable by the touch panel. The recoating programs and all general settings can be accessed and modified through an external PC program.
