High-Voltage AC/DC Power Supplies
Each high voltage application has its own power supply requirements. Based on the technologies and topologies developed and deployed by our partners, we are able to offer a broad range of compact and reliable solutions for most high-voltage AC/DC power supply requirements. Our standard devices and systems have output voltages of up to 450 kVDC and output powers of up to 25 kW.
Our range of high voltage AC/DC power supplies offers regulated output power, current and voltage. Optimized in terms of weight and size, chassis-mount devices can be optimally integrated into the customer’s systems, including the necessary protection and safety systems, while our rack-mountable power supplies are ideal for integration into cabinet systems. Use our high-voltage power supplies in bench-top form factor for your laboratory or production environment.

Our AC/DC power supplies are used by OEM manufacturers, industrial service providers and research institutions in a wide range of commercial, defense and research applications. Typical applications include electrostatic filters, high power lasers, semiconductor production equipment, electron tube supplies, particle acceleration (modulators, magnets), particle sources such as ion, electron or neutron sources, vacuum/plasma processing, gas discharges, electromagnetic conversion, underwater shock wave generation, magnetic field generation, component testing, analytical instruments, medical diagnostics and therapeutic systems or test instruments.
High-Voltage DC/AC Power Supplies
Our series of chassis-mount, high-voltage DC/AC power supplies produces a high AC voltage output up to 5 kV rms with 270 Hz – from a 24 VDC power source. These single-output, space-saving, regulated, high-voltage inverters are available in block configuration and equipped with voltage and current monitoring and protection against overload, short circuit and arc – suitable for depollution, surface treatment and depolarization applications in various systems using corona discharges.
High-Voltage Pulse Generators
Our high-voltage pulse generators are stand-alone devices converting 24 VDC into 5.5 kV for driving Pockels cells, available as chassis-mount or bench-top devices. Based on FET technology, these high-voltage pulse generators can produce pulses up to 5.5 kVDC with a rise time of just a few nanoseconds, with an adjustable pulse length from a few 100 ns up to tens of μs for charging capacitive loads.
AMS Technologies offers a broad range of power modules, like AC/DC converters, operating from AC voltage power supplies and including various series of chassis-mount, air insulated, fast-response, high-voltage AC/DC converters in a compact module form factor, available with output powers of 15 W, 75 W or 300 W and output voltages up to 60 kVDC, as well as systems that are dedicated to capacitor charging applications.
Within the power modules range, we also carry professional, very compact, high voltage DC/DC converters in modular form primarily for PCB mounting. Encompassing several different package forms, these modules start at 100 V output types of just over 1 cm3 in size and reach all the way to 6 kV output versions with 4 W output power.
AMS Technologies’ broad portfolio of drivers, inverters and controllers comprises of laser diode drivers, LED drivers and controllers and TEC temperature controllers, including a variety of accessories.
